Greenhouse Gas Emissions Study under ways By Texas Researchers

The researchers are embarking on a greenhouse gas adventure.

“Dr. Ken Casey, AgriLife Research air quality engineer, and Al Caramanica, a research chemist, have added a few new laboratory tools to help measure three greenhouse gases: nitrous oxide, carbon dioxide and methane” (science daily). They were injecting to see if the gases showed up on the test. Before the vials are filled with samples from the field, each is flushed with helium twice then evacuated. Each sample takes approximately five minutest to test they can collect 128 samples and load them in the trays for processing and then they can keep working and got the samples. So all in all they are coming to gather and trying to help save global warming.

Texas Power

In Presidio, Texas they have one link the electrical power. It stretches 60 miles from Marfa in the desert t the Rio Grande. Some Electrical storms erupt frequently at the rugged expanse between Marfa. It creates a unique to our geographic area. Having only one line to the electric is bad for the terrain. Also having many power outings is also normal. According to the document it reeks havoc on the cities causing computer systems to reset all the time. It is annoying in homes and work places because they could be working and then loose all of the work they were working on. The ETT is installing a system to help them. This is a big problem because they could end up blowing circuits and causing problems cuz they can cause fires , things blowing up and more….
